Tim Geithner Says Losing Your Job Is Healthy
By · July 10, 2009Secretary of Treasury Tim “Tax Cheat” Geithner told members of Congress the high rate of unemployment in America is a healthy adjustment for the economy.
Noting the rising unemployment, Geithner said what the economy “is going through is a very necessary and healthy adjustment as [Americans] go back to living within their means.” He added: “We do not have an economy that is growing again.”
So for those of you out there who have lost your job and are barely scraping by, not knowing how you’re going to make it, don’t worry…Timmy says it’s good for you! I tell you what Timmy, if it’s so darn healthy why don’t you give up your job? Do the right thing Timbo and make America stronger!

And this is the party that said that Conservatives are “out of touch?”

What do you expect Mr. Geithner to say? This is clearly not a good situation and no matter what he says there will be a way to criticize it. Economically at the moment we are going through an adjustment that is necessary and healthy. The adjustment includes substantial job losses and many other issues. He admitted that the economy wasn’t growing again.
Why was it ok for the prior administration to tell us that the fundamentals of the economy were fine when they obviously were not?
I believe that Mr. Geithner is telling the truth and it is hurtful, but even if it take a long time, things will get better.
What is the definition of “out of touch”? I do not think Mr. Geithenr is “out of touch” just finds himself controlling a situation that proves to be intractable. Every thing is going to take time because this recession occurred due to too much debt.

What I expect is for Mr. Geithner to not be so stupid in a time like this. If George W. Bush were to say that exact same thing, the media would have painted him as some out of touch millionaire who could care less about the working man. It’s certainly not what unemployed Americans want to hear right now.

So the answer is to TRIPLE the debt???
This administration has already amassed MORE THAN the entire debt of W’s eight years in office.
