The Truth About Canadian Health Care
By Shawn Swisher · July 13, 2009If you just can’t wait for all that “free” government health care that Obama has planned for you, get used to it. You’ll be spending a lot of time waiting after it passes. You’ve heard Chairman Obama and the other leftist socialists praise Canada’s system, but it seems that Canada isn’t all that great of a place to get sick. As a matter of fact, I would say the best health care plan in Canada is to not get sick at all. Watch and see in Steven Crowder’s latest video where he shows you the true Canadian health care system. Believe it or not, you will hear two separate government workers recommending private health care.

Who the heck is Shawn Swisher? I am a man who believes America is truly a great country. I believe we need to return to the Constitution and the Christian principles this country was founded on. I believe we must protect and preserve our freedoms, or we will most definitely lose them. I believe left wing liberals are a bunch of loons. I am a conservative... join me in the revolution!

Lies. We have family in Canada. They get to procedures quicker than we do here in the U.S. in many cases. The Canadian government tracks wait times throughout the country:

Those are FACTS. Not lies.
Stop spreading these shameful lies about Canada’s system. Like I said, we have family there. Do you even realize that the health care system in Canada was pioneered by the CONSERVATIVE party there!?

That wait list link is not for Canada, it’s for a single province of Canada. I just spoke with a couple from Alberta this week who happened to be traveling in my area. They said the average wait time for a MRI is about 6 months. Those are facts straight out of a Canadian’s mouth. Of course, that’s no big deal really…UNLESS YOU’RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS THE MRI!
It’s really just a matter of common sense that liberals can’t seem to comprehend. When you place tens of millions of additional people into the system without increasing the numbers of doctors and nurses, one of two things will inevitably occur: increased wait times for medical care or health care rationing. Add to that the fact that part of the government’s cost savings comes from cutting payment rates to doctors and hospitals and you will see a decline in the number of students entering the medical field. It’s just basic mathematics, plain and simple. Even Elmo can do it.
If you wan’t to target those spreading lies, go here:

EMERGENCY MRI’s are conducted immediately. That’s from Canada’s own “mouth,” too.
There is a shortage of MRI machines in Canada. Since 2005, they’ve been pouring billions into fixing the problem.
They at least IDENTIFY a problem and come up with a PLAN to address it. The U.S. puffs its chest, declares, “Everything is fine!” and then funnels a few more billion dollars to the insurance companies, drug manufacturers and defense contractors.
