Who is the man behind Conservative Unleashed?

My name is Shawn Swisher. I was born and raised south of the Mason Dixon Line. I grew up in a wonderful family, the son of a Republican father and a Democrat mother. As a result, I called myself an Independent. Then I got married, had children and began to see the world from a different point of view. I saw decreasing morals, rampant greed and a gradual loss of our freedoms. I began to wonder what kind of America my kids would live in when they were older. I became disgusted with the blatant disservice and disrespect many of our nation’s leaders were giving us. I discovered more and more everyday who I was, what I believed in and what I wanted for my children’s future. I am a conservative…fiscally, socially and morally.

I’m a conservative first and foremost, but that doesn’t make me a hardcore Republican. As long as the Republican party adheres to its conservative foundation, then I will associate myself with the GOP. If the Republican party ever decides to go soft and reinvent itself as a more moderate mainstream party, then I’ll associate myself with whatever new conservative party arises. For me, it’s all about who most closely represents my principles and beliefs, not what name tag they wear.

Why did I create Conservative Unleashed?

Yeah, I know there are lots of conservative blogs out there to read. Maybe you’re thinking there’s no real need for yet another one. But, I think the more conservative voices we can get out on the net, the better. It’s chock full of crazy left wing liberal junk, so the more conservative bloggers we have out there, the better in my opinion.  I believe America is truly a great country, but there are people out there who want to turn it into France or something. I think these nuts should just move there if that’s what they want…I hear they have wonderful wine and pastries. I believe we need to return to the Constitution and the Christian principles this country was founded on. I believe we must protect and preserve our freedoms, or we will surely lose them. American blood has been shed on battlefields all across this globe for the sake of earning and protecting the freedoms that we all enjoy so much today. To let a bunch of idiots steal those freedoms away from us would mean all those brave souls died in vain. We can’t let that happen. We can’t let them destroy our America. This blog is my contribution to the war against all the crazy left wing, hypocritical, tree hugging, Marxist loving liberals who are hell bent on destroying America as our forefathers founded it. You can love my blog or hate it. Whatever you do, just read it. Why?

Because I am a conservative…and I am right.
